This website, DetroitForeclosureAvoidance.com (the "Site"), is operated by Ronald L. Coleman ("Ron," "I," "me," or "we"), a licensed Michigan real estate agent (License #6506047721) with eXp Realty, LLC, 39555 Orchard Hill Place, Suite 600, Novi, Michigan 48375. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected through the Site, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you request a callback or contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as:
- Your first name
- Your phone number
- Your preferred time to be contacted
- Any details you choose to share about your situation by phone, text, email, or during a consultation
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This information is used to operate, secure, and maintain the Site.
Cookies and tracking technologies. The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, as described in the "Cookies and Tracking" section below.
Cookies and Tracking
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that work in a similar way. We share educational videos on YouTube and Instagram and may advertise on those platforms. To measure and improve that work, the Site uses or may use the following:
- Analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand how many people visit, how they found the Site, and which pages they view.
- Advertising pixels (such as the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram) to measure whether our ads and videos lead to visits or consultation requests, and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site (often called "retargeting").
- Embedded videos (such as YouTube) so you can watch our videos on the Site. The video provider may set cookies when you view or play a video.
These providers may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the actions you take on the Site, and may combine it with information they already have about you under their own privacy policies. We do not send your name or phone number from our consultation form to advertising platforms.
Your choices.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as embedded videos, may not work as intended.
- You can adjust ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or in your Google account under ad settings.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available from Google.
- Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. The Site does not currently respond to those signals, because there is no common standard for them.
How We Use Your Information

- To schedule and conduct your free consultation
- To evaluate the options that may be available to you and, if you choose to move forward, to provide real estate services
- To keep records as required by real estate licensing rules, brokerage policies, and applicable law
- To measure and improve our website, videos, and advertising
- To maintain and improve the Site and protect it against misuse
Text Messages (SMS)
If you submit your phone number through the Site, you agree that Ron Coleman may call or text you at that number about your request. Consent is not required to receive services.
- Message frequency varies based on your request and our conversation.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- To stop texts, reply STOP at any time. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
How Your Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to respond to you and to provide services, including with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Site and communicate with you, such as our website host, our online form processor, our scheduling service, and our phone, texting, and customer-management tools. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- My brokerage, eXp Realty, LLC, as required for supervision, compliance, and recordkeeping.
- Parties to your transaction, such as your lender or loan servicer, title company, buyers or their agents, or attorneys, only with your permission and only as needed to work on your file.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of others.
Please note that foreclosure notices are public records, and a home that is listed for sale is marketed publicly.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Site uses third-party services, including Netlify (website hosting), Formspree (form processing), Calendly (appointment scheduling), Google Fonts (text display), and, as described above, analytics, advertising, and video providers such as Google, Meta, and YouTube. When you interact with our content on YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook, those platforms' own privacy policies apply. When you use these services, or follow a link to another website, that provider's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, and meet legal, licensing, and brokerage recordkeeping requirements. After that, it is deleted or securely stored.
How We Protect Information
We use reasonable measures to protect the information you share, including a secure (HTTPS) connection on the Site. However, no website or method of transmitting information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- You may ask us to stop calling you, to update your information, or to delete your information, subject to any records we are required to keep.
- To make a request, contact us using the information below.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
